Helena P Schrader earned a PhD in History from the University of Hamburg with a ground-breaking biography of a leader of the German Resistance to Hitler. After several years in the private sector, she was commissioned in the U.S. Foreign Service, serving as an American diplomat in Africa and Europe. Retiring in December 2018, she now dedicates her time to writing, focusing on historical fiction and literary fiction, including notable books on the Middle Ages. Helena is the author of various aviation books and has received numerous literary awards, with two of her titles achieving best-seller status on Amazon.
